FAQS

💰How much is the Rent?
Pending to sign a partnership agreement with Efficiency Nova Scotia's Affordable Multifamily Housing Program the 2025 rental rates will be between $642 to $797 plus utilities. The affordable rate may increase only with the CPI (National Consumer Price Index), annually. This is way below the average rent in Canada, specially compared to Halifax.
🔌Are Utilities included?
No utilities are included. Tenant must pay all extra utilities. For example Electricity (Electric Hot water, Baseboard Heaters & Lights) & Internet (You will be given a great deal with Starlink Internet that is already on the property). Most tenants pay less than $1100/mo for their rent and utilities.
🧑🤝🧑 Is it a shared space?
No. These are private apartments with their own entrance. There are no shared spaces. Other apartment units are rented by single people or senior couples.
🦻Noise levels?
For an old home, it's a very quiet and tranquil space. Apartments are not sound proof but most noise is dampened. Speeding noises coming from the road (loud drivers) could be heard sometimes. Please note that noise levels at the premises must be maintained low at all times when possible. The silent or very quiet hours must be observed from 8pm to 8am.
♿Accessibility features?
This is a ground apartment unit with 5 wooden steps. The mini deck/porch may be upgraded in the future. The bathroom has a handicap grab bar. If you require other accessibility feature (like a special parking space) let us know in your application.
